As a small business you probably have heard that growing your social media is one of the most important things you can do with your marketing. Facebook being one of the most important.
Only problem is…the organic posts that you make only go to the people who have followed your page. How are you supposed to grow your social media if it only goes to people you already know?
There are billions of people using social media each and every day. In the year 2020 the average daily usage online went from 3 hours to 6.9 hours every single day. People are online more than ever before.
So how can a business leverage billions of people and 6.9 hours of internet usage every day to grow their Facebook and other social media accounts.
The first thing you need to think about is the audience. Who are you trying to reach? This should be based on your Customer Personas.
The second thing you need to consider is content. All social media applications are based on engagement. It doesn’t matter how much money you spend…if it doesn’t engage your ideal clients, you will never grow your social media presence.
The third thing you need to remember is…you are not trying to sell them. This is about growing your social media connections. You want to inspire or enlighten your audience. You want them to engage with your business.
After you have built up an audience, turning them into customers will be easy.
Once you have determined how you will engage your audience, it is time to create a post.
When you are on your business page and go to the create post button it will pull up a screen that looks like this:
As you can see, there is a slider for boosting your post. Click on that slider. Once you have created the post and hit the button post. The post you have just made will be immediately posted.
It will then take you to another screen and you get to pick the budget and the ideal audience you want to reach.
I would recommend $20 per boost. This will allow a business to reach anywhere between 2,000-5,000 additional people that are not connected with your business.
If you have created a post that is engaging you will find people interested in your business and gaining followers as you continue to do this with your posts.
